Call for applications for PRINZ Board Members

The Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ) is calling for applications for PRINZ Board Members.

The motion to replace the current PRINZ governance model with a Board of seven members (four elected and up to three co-opted) was passed at the PRINZ Annual General Meeting held in Auckland on 27 May 2019.

Members seeking election to one of four elected roles on the PRINZ Board should email a candidate statement (no more than 400 words) and photo to

  • The PRINZ Board is responsible for governing and setting the strategic direction of the Institute’s activities
  • Board members will hold a two-year term, with implementation staggered annually to ensure no more than half the members have completed terms at the same time
  • The President’s role will be replaced with a Chair who is elected for a two-year term by the Board at its first meeting
  • Co-opted members will be appointed by the Board at its first meeting.

Applications will close 5pm Thursday 27 June 2019.

The details of candidates seeking election will be available Monday 1 July 2019. PRINZ members will be able to vote online and results will be announced at a Special General Meeting to be held at 5pm Thursday 25 July at Amokura Gallery, Te Papa, 55 Cable Street, Wellington. The notice of the Special General Meeting including details of members standing for election to the PRINZ Board will be sent on 5 July 2019.
