PRINZ is sad to report that Malcolm Boyle has passed away. Malcolm was one of the founders of Baldwin Boyle Group, a PRINZ Fellow and mentor to numerous public relations professionals over the years. He will be sadly missed by friends and colleagues throughout the public relations industry.

“Sad news that Malcolm Boyle has died in Auckland following a long illness. He has been one of the most respected figures in the New Zealand and international pr world for decades and was a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute. I met Malcolm in the early 60’s when he was on the Auckland Star. Later he worked on the Daily Telegraph in Sydney and was a strong presence at Allan Fenwick McCully in the 70’s and early 80’s before becoming a partner in Baldwin Boyle and spending some time working in Asia where BB had offices. He was strongly associated with Singapore Airlines for many years and later with Air New Zealand. Malcolm and I were subsequently associated together in Auckland consultancies Allan Boyle, Porter Novelli and Star PR. Malcolm was a big man in every sense of the word, respected by his pr and media colleagues and clients alike. A strong family man, he enjoyed people, had a vast network of friends, worked on a pro bono basis for projects he supported and mentored young people in the profession. He played league in Sydney and Auckland, at one stage becoming part owner of the Warriors with close friend and league legend Graham Lowe.”
