Carl Davidson, Chief Social Scientist, Research First
Carl Davidson is the Chief Social Scientist at Research First Ltd (a company their Twitter summary describes as “market researchers, behaviour scientists, strategic thinkers, and good buggers"). He has worked in the insights industry for nearly 30 years and brings a rare combination of academic rigour and commercial discipline to his work. He is the author of ten books about research practice in New Zealand, and a regular contributor to Stuff, where he writes about ‘the social science of everyday phenomena’. He was previously the Chief Commissioner of the New Zealand Families Commission, and in 2017 he was re-elected to the Board of the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce.
