In a world of mindless distractions with a population armed with devices that deliver dopamine hits at the touch of a button, how do we get people to focus on messages that matter?

After a short AGM, our year kicks off with Carl Davidson from Research First reminding us that we have to work with the brain's shortcuts if we're to succeed as communications professionals.

Come and learn about the psychology of attention and how our brains have changed in the internet age. Because in 2019, if we continue to do what we’ve always done, we will most assuredly not get what we have always got.

This event is kindly sponsored by the University of Canterbury.
