As a precaution and in the interests of minimising the spread of COVID-19, this event has been postponed until further notice. The situation will be reviewed in April 2020.

Your organisation has just had a cyber security breach, how would you communicate about it and how would you prevent future breaches?

Izzi Lithgow from CERT NZ and Susan Fullerton-Smith from Tū Ora Compass Health will join us to talk about the cyber security aspect of privacy breaches and the crisis communications that wrap around that.

Susan’s organisation, Tū Ora Compass Health, had a cybersecurity breach in August 2019 after its website was targeted as part of a widespread global cyber incident. That attack promoted Tū Ora Compass Health to take their server offline and investigate – they found evidence of earlier attacks and that details of up to 1 million people could have been accessed.

Susan will cover Tū Ora Compass Health’s response and timeline of activities, lessons learned and what they’d do differently next time.

Drinks and nibbles start from 5.30 pm.

Please be aware of the PRINZ payment and cancellation policy.
