Christchurch–based President Elect for the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand

06/11/17

At the 2017 Special General Meeting of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ), Christchurch public relations consultant and PRINZ Fellow, Felicity Price was voted President Elect for the Institute. Her term as President will commence after the next AGM in May 2018, when she will replace current President Katie Mathison.

Felicity has been a member of PRINZ since starting her own PR consultancy business in Christchurch in 1987. She spent time in the 1990s and 2000s volunteering as a PRINZ committee member, as chair of the local branch, part of conference organising committees and, as she became more experienced, mentoring younger PR people in the commercial world. Over the years, she has won several PRINZ Awards and also been highly commended for a few too.

After a career consulting mainly to commercial clients, she is currently a consultant and contractor mainly for local government. In her spare time, she chairs several mainly arts-related boards, and is currently chair of the Arts Centre of Christchurch. In recognition of her work with these not-for-profits, many going through periods of major crisis, she was awarded Officer of the NZ Order of Merit for her contribution to business and the arts.
