PR Consultancy of the Year

This award recognises professionalism, agency culture (including talent retention and staff development), commercial success (new business, client retention, revenue and profit growth), as well as impact and innovation.

Where an agency has more than one office, the entry should be for the group operation.

This award is split into two categories:

  • Small to Medium (one to seven staff)
  • Medium to Large (more than seven staff)

Entering

Entry consists of:

  • Consultancy Name, Contact, Headcount (Total number of staff - FTEs), and Location
  • Tell us the story of your consultancy - its origins and number of years in business (max 500 words)
  • Describe the consultancy's abilities and practice areas (max 500 words)
  • Detail the consultancy's values and explain what makes the consultancy distinctive (max 500 words)
  • Supply three case studies - each case study (max 500 words) should explain how the consultancy helped a client during the year
  • What challenges has the consultancy faced in the last 12 months and how was it able to overcome them? How has the consultancy adapted to the changing market? How as the consultancy's actions moved the industry? What is the consultancy's vision for the future? (max 500 words)
  • Outline the consultancy's commercial success including new business wins, client retention and profit growth. - Where confidentiality issues preclude offering specific figures, percentages are acceptable.
  • Can provide no more than 3 images throughout the entry
  • Can provide 2 video links - ideally no longer than 3 minutes duration

Additional information required

If the consultancy is shortlisted as a finalist for the PR Consultancy of the Year Award, then the consultancy will be asked to provide contact details of referees for each of the case studies provided. Applicants and their referees should be available to speak with judges, if judges wish.

Figures and claims should be accompanied by a letter from the consultancy's financial director or equivalent confirming their accuracy.

Assessment

Judges are looking for:

  • Commitment to staff development and retention, how the consultancy has innovated and evidence of the impact the consultancy’s culture has on its output.
  • Judges will be looking for clear evidence of strategic thinking, ability to deliver against a brief and evidence of success.
