Catherine Arrow, FPRINZ, FCIPR, Chart.PR
Catherine Arrow is an international public relations consultant, educator and writer. She heads Unlocked PR, digital consultancy Social Capture and designs and delivers professional training and development programmes for fellow professionals. A PRINZ Fellow, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner, Catherine serves on the Global Alliance Advisory Council following eight years of service as board member and secretary of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. She designed, developed and introduced the PRINZ RIVER continuing professional development programme and is a member of PRINZ National Council.
Alongside her own consultancy work, she lectures and speaks about public relations in New Zealand and around the world. Recent publications include a chapter on future public relations practice in the CIPR book, ‘Lessons from Expert Practitioners’. Her career spans the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and, in 2012, was presented with the PRINZ President’s Award for exemplary contribution to the profession.
Brian Finn, FPRINZ
Brian Finn is the founder and director of Engage Group, an Auckland-based public affairs consultancy that offers public affairs, media, issues and crisis management counsel, stakeholder and government relations, brand and sponsorship support. Its clients include organisations operating in the film and television, tourism, sport, major events, food, local government and charity sectors. Brian’s background includes heading up in-house corporate communications functions and leading large agency teams. He was head of public affairs for the New Zealand Rugby Union from 2004 until 2011 and for several of those years, he also led communications for Rugby New Zealand 2011, the organising committee for the highly successful Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2011. His work on the RWC 2011 Bid won the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand’s Supreme Award in 2006.
Bruce Fraser, FPRINZ
Bruce is a successful and experienced public relations consultant working with businesses and organisations to improve their communication and engagement with clients and stakeholders. His qualifications include a BA, Diploma of Teaching, Post Graduate Diploma of Business and Administration, Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and he was admitted as a Fellow into the Public Relations Institute of NZ in 2007. Bruce is a former President of PRINZ, a member of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce and NZ Institute of Directors.
Dr Chris Galloway, MPRINZ
Senior Lecturer, School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing at Massey University
Chris joins many years of experience as a journalist and senior public relations specialist to his academic interests in issue, risk and crisis communication. He has taught at universities in both Australia and New Zealand.
His other interests include the Middle East, especially the way public relations techniques are used to present and position different protagonists. He travels to the region as often as he can.
Elizabeth Hughes Strategy and Communication
Elizabeth Hughes has worked in public and private sector strategy and communication for 25 years. Her career covers a number of small to large councils, Local Government New Zealand, government departments and work for NZ Police, Civil Defence, Ministry for the Environment, Department of Building and Housing, Children's Commission, Elections NZ and Department of Internal Affairs.
Drawing on experience working with staff from both small and large organisations she is best known for innovation and communication achievements in the local government and public sectors. Elizabeth has a degree in environmental management and post-graduate qualifications from the Melbourne Business School in communication and managing business relationships. Elizabeth is a strategy and communication specialist who is in private practice.
