Tandem Studios’ business growth prompts Auckland presence

New Zealand's leading provider of online video, Tandem Studios, has established an Auckland-based team.

Tandem Studios was established in Christchurch in 1974 and continues to operate from its central city, full production studio.

The company has established itself as a leading content creation expert in New Zealand and works in all areas of media including radio, social media, animation, television and online.

Tandem Studios has developed a particular expertise in live streaming and webcasting and creating video archives using its own LaBon^TM (Living and Breathing Online Newsletter) websites to create online video archives that viewers can access on any screen.

"The aim of LaBon^TM is to make it easy for people to find, view and share content", says 'Tandem Studios' Managing Director Dave Dunlay. "It is a fantastic content platform that solves the issue of how to search through a large amount of video content and easily locate just the clip you're looking for."

The establishment of Tandem Studios' Auckland-based team comes hard on the heels of it having won the contract to provide live webcasting and a LaBon^TM video archive of meetings for Auckland Council. This service began on 5 February.

Tandem Studios also provides similar services to the House of Representatives (via www.inthehouse.co.nz), Christchurch and Wellington city councils, the Taupo District Council and the Hawke's Bay Regional Council.

"We already have several key clients in Auckland in addition to Auckland Council," says Mr Dunlay, "and our Auckland-based team will allow us to provide an even more responsive service to both existing and new clients in the Auckland region and beyond."

Tandem Studios' Auckland clients include MiNDFOOD magazine, the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand, several Auckland schools and the "Big Boys Toys" event.

"I am really delighted that the quality of the work that we produce has allowed us to expand and establish a permanent Auckland presence," says Mr Dunlay.

A camera/video operator and a sales person will be based in Auckland, with Tandem Studios in Christchurch providing the voiceover, animation, editing and creative skills.
