Aaron Hailwood, Chair

Aaron Hailwood has held a number of communications roles across the public sector, but got his start in comms when he and a friend set up their own nationally distributed LGBT lifestyle magazine at the age of 20. He has a particular passion for language having studied te reo Māori, Chinese, Indonesian, Spanish, and Portuguese at university, as well as completing the Swedish course of Duolingo. He is about to graduate with a Bachelor in Arts from Massey University, and is currently working towards a Diploma of Arts in Portuguese.

Annalie Brown, APR, Deputy Chair

Annalie Brown is an experienced communications practitioner with nearly 20 years under her belt (but she swears she never looks that old), Annalie held senior roles in the UK and United States before seeing sense and moving to New Zealand. Annalie completed the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Diploma and has a Masters in Corporate Communications from Leeds Beckett University.

Angela Paul, APR, FPRINZ

Angela is an accredited public relations practitioner and has worked in communications since 1996. She has a broad range of experience having worked in New Zealand, Malaysia and Australia. She has worked at PR consultancies, in the private sector, for several different government departments and as a freelance communications consultant. Angela has a BCA from Victoria University and a Postgrad Diploma in Communications Management from Massey University.

Ann Liu, APR

Ann Liu is an accredited public relations practitioner who has worked with a range of high-profile clients, including government agencies, global companies, and new and growing enterprises. She is experienced in providing communications solutions in the education, agriculture, food and beverage, tourism, entertainment and banking sectors. Ann has extensive experience engaging with, and influencing, diverse stakeholder groups, and providing strategic advice to boards and chief executives. She graduated from the University of Auckland with a Master’s degree in Film, TV and Media Studies.

Lily Ng

Lily is the Engagement and Communications Advisor at the Provincial Growth Fund. In previous roles, she has worked for iwi organisations, structural engineers, theatre groups, printing specialists and a sushi restaurant. Lily holds a Bachelor of Communication from Massey University, New Zealand and a Certificate of East Asian Studies from Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan.
