PRINZ Awards
Proudly recognising excellence in public relations practice in New Zealand
The prestigious PRINZ Awards recognise and reward outstanding public relations and communication projects in New Zealand. Conferred by the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ) since 1974, they encourage excellence and improvement in public relations practice.
There are eight project categories, with a further category for young practitioners. The project categories allow entries to be judged against similar work, while the Young Practitioner competition gives the opportunity for the future of our industry to shine. Winners of Awards in the eight project categories go forward to be considered for the Supreme Award, the most prestigious award of all.
Award-winning entries will reflect sound public relations and communication objectives, demonstrate high standards of performance, production and presentation; and have that special 'x-factor' which separates an outstanding project from one that is simply well executed. Winners of PRINZ Awards, and the runners-up, will receive their award at a gala dinner at the PRINZ annual conference.
Entries are only accepted from current financial members of PRINZ.
To assist you, we recommend you use the draft entry form to create your entry. Click here to download.

Confidential entries
If your project is confidential, please mark the appropriate box on the electronic entry form. In all cases the organisation or client for whom the work was done must be named publicly. If the detail of the award entry is confidential you must still provide a 100 word synopsis of the entry which can be published. The synopsis must be approved for publication by your client or manager.
Advertising/direct mail component
Where there is a large advertising or direct mail component involved in your project, this must be clearly specified.
The cost of entering the PRINZ Awards is $168.75 (GST inclusive).
Good luck!
