Public relations practice is undergoing rapid change. New communications channels, technologies and approaches are constantly challenging the way we work. At PRINZ, our challenge is to provide opportunities for you to stay abreast of change, learn new skills or update old ones, encounter examples of best practice and share knowledge with other practitioners on how to deal with issues, build relationships and manage reputations.
Continuing Professional Development
We have a diverse membership working in many different settings. Our aim in formulating the continuing professional development programme is to provide opportunities for members and others engaged in our field to learn more and improve their skills. Alongside the annual PRINZ conference in May, two professional development conferences are run in Auckland and Wellington as well as a series of full day and half day workshop sessions delivered nationwide. Programme dates, details and prices are available here.
Webinars
Mindful of the geographical spread of members our webinar series is designed to provide virtual learning opportunities for those unable to get to the main cities. Past webinars are available here.
Regional meetings
Informal opportunities for learning and discussion are also available at regional meetings, with regional committees and special interest groups devising and staging a number of evening events during the year. For those with five years experience or more, the APR programme is available. An internationally recognised accreditation programme, APR is viewed as a mark of professional excellence.
In-house and bespoke training
Tailored in-house training is also provided with PRINZ devising and delivering communications and public relations training for government departments, consultancies, small businesses and private companies. Click here for more details on custom training.
