In this workshop you will learn how to create and implement a HR plan for either an organisation or specific team and your role as the HR expert when advising managers. You will work through a four step approach to HR planning that makes sure you cover the key elements and develop a plan that will add real value to your organisation. You will learn how to get your managers on board with the plan and how to implement it effectively. Finally, you will also look at how the HR role fits with the manager’s role and how to advise managers effectively.

This is a practical workshop where you will develop a draft HR plan for your organisation or an area of the organisation you look after. To do this you will need to do some work beforehand and bring it along to the workshop. You will also create an action plan to help you get buy-in to your HR plan and implement it when you are back at work. Additionally, you will have a draft plan on how you will develop your skills and approach so that you are an effective and trusted adviser to your managers.
