The Science of Marketing Excellence
Entries open for the 2010 TVNZ–NZ Marketing Awards
Now in their 19th year, the 2010 TVNZ–NZ Marketing Awards will once again celebrate proven excellence in New Zealand marketing. The awards are run as a joint venture between NZ Marketing magazine, published by HB Media, and the New Zealand Marketing Association (NZMA).
This year the awards focus on the science of marketing, with the value that the brand contributes to the overall value of business being high in the judging criteria.
With new categories, new judges and new sponsors, the 2010 awards will be bigger and better than ever.
Entries are now being called for in a variety of categories designed to recognise innovative and best-practice marketing, and the organisations and marketers leading the way.
“For this year’s awards we wanted to encourage entries that demonstrate an understanding of the science of marketing—the numbers, methods, long- and short-term brand value, and being accountable for business growth,” says Sue McCarty, Chief Executive of the New Zealand Marketing Association.
“With four new judges’ choice awards and one new industry category, there are even more opportunities for marketers to share and celebrate their success,” adds NZ Marketing magazine Publisher Vincent Heeringa.
The judge’s choice awards include Most Authentic Brand, Sustainability, Innovation in Marketing and Transformational Marketing, while the new Export Marketing category at last offers an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding marketing being undertaken in this critical sector.
TVNZ, Fairfax Media and New Zealand Post once again head an impressive line-up of sponsors, and AUT University (Transformational Marketing Award), carboNZero (Sustainability Award), Colmar Brunton (Most Authentic Brand Award) and NZ Trade & Enterprise (Export Marketing Award) are welcome additions to that list.
An expanded panel of judges will include a number of high-profile and successful leaders in marketing and business. The judging panel will be announced soon.
The awards evening will be held on 26 August at the Langham Hotel, Auckland.
