Entries open for 2010 New Zealand International Business Awards

Ambitious New Zealand businesses determined to succeed globally can now enter the 2010 New Zealand International Business Awards.

Celebrating New Zealand business success in the world, the awards recognise professional excellence and innovative practice. Please let your clients know about the opportunity today as entries close on Friday, April 16

The awards have been developed by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), but are not just about winning.

“While winning an award carries plenty of prestige, all entrants get value from participating. Those companies that go through the entry and judging process get a valuable chance to benchmark their performance and receive strategic advice.

“Events and forums built around the awards programme also provide business people with chances to promote their successes, network with other business leaders, and motivate their staff,” said NZTE Board Chairman Jon Mayson.

New Zealand businesses operating internationally help grow the economy and improve living standards for all New Zealanders. The structure of the awards is designed to reflect new approaches that businesses are taking to achieve international success.

The award categories are:

  • Best business (small, medium and large) operating internationally
  • Most innovative approach to international business
  • Best use of design in international business
  • Best commercialisation of intellectual property in international business
  • Best use of research and development in international business.

The Supreme Award will be presented to an overall winner that has stood out across all of the categories. Two separate awards recognise the vision, commitment and success of an emerging and outstanding business leader in the internationalisation of New Zealand business.
