Call-out for volunteer PR support
The Gynaecological Cancer Foundation of NZ, known as the Silver Ribbon Foundation (www.silverribbon.co.nz) is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to educate all NZ women about the signs and symptoms of the various gynaecological cancers, to encourage early detection and to provide support for women following diagnosis and treatment.
The Foundation urgently requires the valuable support of PR practitioners and/or students to assist with media campaigns and educational activities to increase public awareness of gynaecological cancer and of the work of the Foundation.
September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month and a national programme of educational activities is planned. Assistance with event coordination, host support and media relations is required.
