Searching for New Zealand’s best Annual Reports

Entires are now open for the 2011 Annual Report Awards, as part of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountant’s (NZICA) Leadership Awards.

The Annual Report Awards recognise and celebrate best practice annual reporting. Entry is open to any New Zealand organisation that produces an annual report. Information about the awards, how you can enter, and who has won in the past can be found below.

“A good annual report is an essential part of an organisation’s communications strategy and a strong annual report is a solid indicator that the organisation has an equally strong commitment to sound performance. It shows a commitment to going the extra mile and that is worth celebrating,” says Mr McLaughlin.

The awards provide a unique opportunity for organisations to:

  • Benchmark their performance alongside other organisations in their sector
  • Win a mark of quality for their organisation
  • Learn what makes a best practice annual report.

Submissions are invited in four key categories:

  • Best annual report by a corporate organisation
  • Best annual report by a public sector organisation
  • Best annual report by a not-for-profit organisation
  • Best sustainability reporting

Nominations for the 2011 NZICA Leadership Awards are invited before Friday 9 September at 5pm. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 30 November in Wellington.
