Experienced journalist and economics commentator Bernard Hickey presents an overview of Newsroom – the latest online news agency that promises to deliver paid-for quality journalism, funded by subscriptions and corporate sponsors.

The brainchild of former NZ Herald editor Tim Murphy and MediaWorks news boss Mark Jennings – Newsroom promises to provide smart, independent news and current affairs in an industry dominated by click-bait and trivial celebrity “news”.

Bernard will explain how and why Newsroom was born and its future plans for growth in a financially-challenged market.
